Laser Hair Reduction

Laser hair reduction is a popular cosmetic procedure that uses highly concentrated beams of light to target hair follicles and remove unwanted hair from the body. It is a safe and effective alternative to traditional hair reduction methods like shaving, waxing, and plucking.

During the procedure, a trained technician will use a handheld device to deliver short bursts of laser energy to the targeted area. The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles, which damages the follicles and inhibits future hair growth. The surrounding skin is left unharmed.

Laser hair reduction is most effective on individuals with darker hair and lighter skin, as the laser energy targets the melanin in the hair follicle. However, advancements in laser technology have made it possible for individuals with a variety of skin tones and hair colors to undergo the procedure.

Most patients require multiple sessions to achieve optimal results, as hair grows in cycles and the laser can only target hair in the active growth phase. The number of sessions needed will depend on the size of the area being treated, the density of hair, and the patient's individual hair growth cycle. The number of sessions will differ depending on your hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone. Our packages include 6 treatments and 2 touch ups. Treatments are done typically 4-8 weeks apart, whenever you notice hair growth to the treatment area.

Laser hair reduction is commonly used on areas like the legs, arms/underarms, bikini line/brazilian, back/stomach, and face. We offer a womens swim package (includes full legs, bikini, and underarm) , small area, large area, or full body packages.

It is a relatively painless procedure, with most patients experiencing only mild discomfort. The laser has a built-in cooling plate which provides comfort. Some redness and swelling may occur immediately after the procedure, but these side effects typically subside within a few hours. We also offer numbing cream to areas like the face, underarm, and bikini.

Treatment times vary depending on the size of the treated area or the number of different areas. If you wish to do numbing cream that can add an additional 30 min to your procedure.

You must shave before your appointment (do not wax, pluck, or use hair removal creams). Having stubbles can cause the treatment to be more painful and possibly burn the skin. Avoid sun exposure and using self tanning products for at least 4-6 weeks prior to treatment.

Your skin may be more sensitive to sun exposure post treatment. You should avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self tanning products at least 24 hours after the procedure. You should use sunblock for 3 weeks following treatment. You should also avoid hot showers/baths and should avoid touching the area. For 24 hours you should avoid using skincare products with active ingredients such as retinol.
